Bill Graham, owner of Windhaven Farms, is a notable breeder with nearly 50 years of experience. Although horses were not his first career – he was a professional football player in the CFL, and is the founder of a heavy construction business – a chance visit to the racetrack during his honeymoon had him hooked.

Since that fateful day, those that have graced Graham’s stable include the two-year-old filly Tiz Breathtaking, who won the Grade 3 Mazarine Stakes at Woodbine and is a candidate for the Champion Two-Year-Old Filly in Canada.

In the 1970s, he bought and raced Proud Lou and Majestic Kahala, with Majestic Kahala being sold for $2.5-million. Some of the horses he has kept include Blondeinamotel, which won the Woodbine Oaks, in addition to Wavering Girl, Fantasy Lake and Cotton Carnival.

This Canadian Thoroughbred  article includes background on Graham from his two farm managers, Tim Beeson and Bob Hancock.
