With the cancellation of equestrian events due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the RAM Rodeo Tour schedule has also been severely affected, with the first two June events cancelled until 2021 and the remaining dates tentative depending on when the current government restrictions are eased. In the meantime, Tour president Ross Millar has announced the following initiative to allow participants to continue to qualify for the season-finale events: the RAM Rodeo Tour Championships in Newmarket, Ontario, in October and the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair Invitational Rodeo in Toronto in November.

“In the most unique year we have encountered in our over 20 years of producing rodeos, we have never been in a position that has been so devastating to our sport and all other sports in the world. As many of you we are very proud to have produced over 1000 live RAM rodeo performances and look forward to the next 1000.

During this isolation period, cowboys and cowgirls will have an opportunity to affordably compete from the comfort of your home practice pen to qualify for both the RAM Rodeo Tour Championships in Newmarket and the Royal Winter Fair Invitational Rodeo in Toronto. No travel. Enter as many times as you like. Must be registered with the Central Rodeo League/RAM Rodeo Tour Practice Pen in advance. No membership fee.”

Watch Ross Millar explain the concept:

Entry Fee is $50.00 per entry.
80% of entry fees goes directly into the payouts at the RAM Rodeo Tour Championships in Newmarket on October 23-24-25, 2020.

“The more people that enter, the higher the pay-out to competitors. We will continue to announce the prize money as entries come in. If for any reason, (Covid-19, or other reasons) the RAM Rodeo Tour Championships cannot be held, the full money held for payouts will be paid based upon results as of August 15, 2020. Payouts will follow Central Rodeo League Rule Book Pay-Out calculations.

Entries will be taken by email and online ONLY through the Rodeo Management entry system, similar to RAM Rodeo Tour or Case IH Ultimate Rodeo Tour.”
