If you’re up on your British D-List celebs, then the name Katie Price will be familiar. If not, here’s the scoop. This tabloid fixture rose to fame as a Page 3 girl in the British tabloid The Sun under the name Jordan, then quickly gained a following on reality shows like I’m a Celebrity Get Me Outta Here. From there she had an ill-fated marriage to fellow D-lister Peter Andre, became a mother to five children including one with special needs whom Price has written and spoken about. She’s also had financial struggles that made headlines, released an album, six memoirs, eleven novels, and two children’s books series.

If you’re still baffled as to why Horse-Canada is writing about Ms. Price, she is also a horsey-girl in a big way, even riding in a dressage exhibition at the famous Horse of the Year Show at Olympia in London. There are also adorable videos of Price and her daughter Bunny during a riding lesson, where she recalls her own mum taking her riding when she was Bunny’s age.

Among Price’s many talents is designing equestrian clothing. Her latest venture is KP Equestrian, a fashion brand with the slogan #dazzleinthesaddle and it lives up to the hype.

The brand’s mission statement, “Our clothing has been developed with the comfort & style of riders in mind” speaks to the casual approach to the line. These are pieces for schooling, weekend hacks, and hanging with your best horsey-girls, wine cooler in hand. “Designing the products that I have always wanted with my own sparkle added,” Price writes. There is also a plan for a line of kids’ and men’s apparel and horsewear in the future.

The brand runs the gamut from hot pink or aqua riding tights to fun tees with slogans such as “Horses are like chocolate, one’s just not enough” and “Everyday I’m shovellin’”. The collection also includes a blouson windbreaker, a polo, a hoodie and riding socks.

Definitely the sort of clothes that riders who enjoy standing out in the crowd will adore.
