Due to the very positive results and response from a series of six “Getting Started with Horses” seminars offered in 2007, the Horse Industry Association of Alberta is hosting a 2008 series in a variety of Alberta locations.

The evening seminars cover the topics: Myths, Mysteries and Miseries; Choosing Your Path; What a Horse Needs; What a Rider Needs; Stable Selection; Keeping Horses at Home; and Buying the Right Horse. Presenters for the evening seminars are four well-known horse industry professionals: Ron Anderson, Les Burwash, Muffy Knox and Kippy Maitland-Smith.

The first two dates and locations for 2008 are Medicine Hat on Monday, June 9 and High River on Tuesday, June 10. Cost is just $25 for an individual, $20 for a second person and supper is included. Dinner is at 5:30 and the seminar runs from 6 – 9:30 pm. Advance registration is required.
