The time has come to celebrate the impressive achievements of outstanding people, horses and organizations within Canada’s equestrian industry.
Nominations will be accepted starting March 7, 2016 for the following Equine Canada National Awards:
- Junior Equestrian of the Year
- Horse of the Year
- Canadian Breeder of the Year
- Lifetime Achievement Award
- Builder of the Year
- Boehringer Ingelheim Equine Canada Health & Welfare Award
In addition, the Builder of the Year Award will follow an exciting people’s choice format, with the equestrian community invited to vote on the winner through EC’s social media channels after the close of nominations.

The recipients of these prestigious awards will be honoured at the EC Awards Gala, taking place on Friday, April 22 during the 2016 EC Annual Convention in Montreal, QC. This year’s Gala will be one for the books, with National EC Award presentations, gourmet appetizers and dinner, exciting, themed games and entertainment, and the grand unveiling of the new EC brand.
