It’s back to patrolling the streets of London for another one of the five horses who escaped  in the British capital last April and ran wild, startling motorists and pedestrians alike.

The stunning grey gelding known as Vida was seen in video with blood streaming down his neck and chest as he and another horse, a black gelding named Quaker, galloped through traffic. According to reports, the horses were startled by a construction crew and bolted. In one of the media reports at the time, a taxi driver had his car windows smashed when one of the horses collided with his cab as he waiting outside a hotel near Buckingham Palace.

Three of the five horses sustained injuries during the escape and all five horses – the other three are Trojan, Tennyson and Vanquish – were shipped to the equine charity Horse Trust, where they received care.  Trojan, Tennyson and Vanquish have already taken up their duties back in London and now, five months later, it was time for Vida to return to duty.
