Eighty-eight-year-old Star Trek star William Shatner, known in the horse world as a trainer, competitor and breeder of Saddlebreds, Quarter Horses and Standardbreds, filed for divorce from his fourth wife, Elizabeth Martin, in December after 18 years of marriage. As part of the settlement’s division of property, William, who grew up near Montreal, QC, retained two of their horses ‒ the Saddlebred stallion Renaissance Man’s Medici and mare Powder River Shirley ‒ two dogs, all the breeding equipment and “all horse semen,” according to court documents. Elizabeth, who is also a horse trainer, will get the horses Belle Reve’s So Photogenic and Pebbles as well as the keys to several vehicles.
As for the couples’ amassed real estate holdings, Bill keeps the Studio City house and Three Rivers Ranch in California while Elizabeth will take homes in Malibu Cove and Belle Reve Ranch in Versailles, Kentucky. She retains visiting rights to Three Rivers to occasionally harvest fruit and visit the graves of her first husband and horses who have passed on. Neither will be receiving spousal support due to a prenuptial agreement. William, whose estimated net worth is over $100 million, was previously married to Narine Kidd, Marcy Lafferty, and Gloria Rand, and has 3 children.
