Today after riding Zelador I took off his tack and turned him loose. He enjoyed a roll, then came to see what I was doing. I turned off the tape player. We played the piano, then I took him to a pedestal and said, “We’re going to put together some of the actions for the “Hokey Pokey” (yep…talking to a horse…it’s been a really long winter…)

We started with “Put your right foot in” and went on to “Put your left foot in”. After he did the “turn yourself around” he looked at me and put his tongue out. I said, “O.K. We can do that verse next.”

After the turnaround he looked at me and shook his head. I said, “O.K. We’d do that verse now.”
