Actor and musician Mark Wahlberg has joined the list of celebrities with equestrian offspring. His 14-year-old daughter Grace is competing in the show jumping ring, coming in first and second in two Junior Jumper classes at the Great Lakes Equestrian Festival in Michigan, which continues this week.
In an Instagram post the Departed star whose latest movie Flight Risk is being released in October wrote “My girl and her horse🥰😘🥰WOW❤️❤️” to caption two images of Grace and her mounts. The first shows the young girl with a chestnut by the name of Rainland Flurry, or “Flurry” as Grace affectionately refers to the horse in an earlier post on her own Instagram account.
In the second image posted by the proud movie star, Grace is shown riding Vishnou Un Prince over a jump in the ring. The young rider calls the big bay “Prince”, which is the perfect barn name!
The younger Wahlberg, who is based in Las Vegas, appears to have quite the string of junior jumpers that she steers around the 1.10-1.15 m courses. In addition to Prince and Flurry there are Cruise Quality, Icarus LH, Linus and Bernadette.
While we’re not sure the barn names of all of of Grace’s horses, another adorable post shows the young rider in jeans and tank cuddling with a handsome bay with lots of chrome that she affectionately refers to as Birdie, captioning the photo “Oh, Birdie I love you so much.”
It’s clear that despite her privilege, Wahlberg is your typical horse-crazy teen, posting in a video “How did i get so lucky to find a horse like you” as she nuzzles the horse.
