The Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs has confirmed one case of West Nile virus in Waterloo County, Ontario.
The Equine Disease Communication Center reports that one mare showed clinical signs, including ataxia, on August 28, 2019. West Nile virus was confirmed by a veterinarian on September 13, 2019.
The unvaccinated mare is now recovering.
