Horse owners know the heartbreak that comes when a beloved horse passes away. Actress and producer Kaley Cuoco shared her feelings after one of her show jumping mounts, a bay Selle Francais mare named Bella, passed away at the age of 17. Cuoco had been a fixture in competition across the United States, and even made an appearance in the ring at Spruce Meadows. While she has a string of horses, the new mom and Emmy-nominated star always seemed to hold Bella in a special place in her heart.
The star took to Instagram to share her grief over the loss, but also to pay tribute to her special mare. Cuoco wrote, “Sometimes horses come into your life and truly make you see the world in a new and beautiful way. Si Bella, you were the horse of a lifetime. Still to this day I cannot believe you were mine. You taught me how to fly and put me in dream arenas I thought could only ever be a dream. You had the heart of a warrior truly till your last breath. You deserve all the love, gratitude , and respect my heart can muster. Thank you for giving me your all, since the day we met… She was special to so many and will remain to be … Thank you to everyone that was part of her journey…”
According to People, Cuoco debuted Bella on social media in 2016. Fans of The Big Bang Theory and Flight Attendant actress know that she has a passion for animals. She posted a response on Instagram Live after a video of a horse being abused went viral during the 2021 Olympics in Tokyo.
Coming this fall is the launch of Oh Norman, a line of “clean, well-made dog products” inspired by her late dog, Norman. It’s the second business venture named after her dog who passed away in 2021, Yes, Norman Productions is the production company Cuoco founded in 2017 and is the prodco behind The Flight Attendant and other projects.
