With so few good-news stories making the rounds in your social media feeds, we thought it was worth sharing a sneak peek at the Budweiser Clydesdale ad for the 59th Super Bowl which kicks off on February 9.

As always, the clever spot features the majestic steeds pulling the iconic red Budweiser beer wagon. In years past we’ve emitted a collection “aww” sound at commercials featuring a yellow lab puppy determined to join in with the Clydesdales, and a follow-up like this one from 2022 with the now-grown-up dog living his best Bud life.

For the 2025 Budweiser ad, the brand looked to a young foal with big dreams to create a touching and funny commercial. Called “First Delivery” it follows one of the human horse wranglers telling an enthusiastic weanling that he’s “still too little, buddy.”

Left to watch the eight horses leave the farm pulling the wagon weighed down with beer kegs, the little foal looks heartbroken … until one of the kegs rolls off the back. What’s a young colt to do? Jump out of the paddock and push that darn keg all the way to the bar where the delivery was being made, of course.

In a series of scenic shots, we follow the youngster as he navigates hills and dales, groundhogs and flowing rivers to the vintage hit song “Let Your Love Flow” by the Bellamy Brothers. Our horsey hero arrives in town to the astonishment of the humans and the approval of the other horses. The spot concludes with the foal nudging the keg into the bar where two dudes are playing pool and one begins the old joke, “A horse walks into a bar…” only to look up and see the Clydesdale baby doing just that. The errant keg is rolled up to the wrangler from the opening who can only look at the proud foal and shake his head and smile.

The ad is adorable even if you’re not a beer drinker or a football fan. 🙂
