With all the civil unrest, economic plight and pandemic anxiety that we see accelerating south of the border, leave it to the crazy-rich Kardashians to divert our attention for a brief moment.
According to TMZ, the famous-for-being-famous family, who has become even more famous thanks to eldest daughter Kim’s marriage to superstar rapper and U.S. Presidential candidate (!) Kanye West, are thinking about purchasing another horse ranch in Wyoming. If the deal goes through it will make Double Doc Ranch in Cody the third ranch property that West has bought in the Cowboy State in the last year. And we don’t think it’s a coincidence that all three ranches are in the ‘northwest’ part of the state.
The Double Doc’s asking price is a meagre (for the Kardashian-Wests) $3.39 million USD. This is a bargain compared to the Monster Lake Ranch and Bighorn Mountain Ranch that West reportedly paid $14 million each for in September and November 2019.
The anonymous source also told TMZ that the ranch already houses a few of Kardashian-West’s Friesian horses; the remaining herd, along with the rest of the clan’s horses, will also be stabled on the Double Doc. The 76-acre ranch is a stunning equestrian facility, judging by the photos and Youtube video available online:
The realtor, Hayden Outdoors Real Estate, described the Double Doc as, “Located just outside Cody Wyoming, this iconic 76 + acre property is not only an exceptional training facility but offers a stunning 7,500 + square foot home that is ideal for a family or entertainment. The combination of a beautiful home and functional boarding and training ranch with accommodations for both employees and guest clinicians is a rare find. In addition to the home there is a 16-stall barn attached to a large heated indoor arena, outdoor arena, multiple stall outdoor barn, cattle pens, hay pivot and shop. This property truly encompasses a world class facility that is turnkey for any discipline.”
While the deal isn’t finalized, back in June Kim Kardashian-West did post an image of daughter North in a field with one of the fabled black horses, revealing the family owns 14 “Freesians” (sic). Certainly the ranch sounds like any horse lover’s dream come true. Now if only Kim can learn to spell Friesian…
