Canada’s Tatiana Dzavik claimed the top spot in the grand prix competition at the Baltica Equestrian Tour in Poland last weekend.

Dzavik and her mare, Delphine DH (by Triomphe de Muze), bested the 22-horse field, going clear with a jump-off time of 35.76 seconds.

Dzavik has said previously of her mount, “She came from Ilan Ferder and is probably the most special horse I have ever had, particularly because she is actually mine. She is a unique horse and very hot, but once we connected it really clicked, and she has been more than I could have ever asked for. I think she will keep getting better.”

There were other successes at the show including a win in the 6YO Finals with Quel Cadans Z and a third place finish in the 7YO class with Hot Shot Van De Hoendrikshoeve, both owned by Anna Rundcrantz.

Originally from Ottawa, Ontario, Dzavik moved to Florida at 14 to pursue her show jumping career. Most recently, in January 2014, she moved to Europe from California, where she spent a majority of 2013, competing with horses from Ilan Ferder and Tal Milstein, including Delphine, Friesel, Dahlia, Arezzo and Pacifico.

Dzavik has now established her own business in Europe, where she plans to train and develop her own string of horses. Visit tatianadzavik.com for more information.
