Horse Canada Writers Guidelines
Horse Canada magazine is a general interest magazine that appeals to owners, riders and drivers of all breeds and disciplines. The magazine’s content focuses on health care, farm/stable management, topical subjects regarding industry developments, political issues or legislation that will affect Canadian horse owners, lifestyle features and articles on training methods.
On occasion, we do accept articles on equine art and other equine-related items.
While we do accept unsolicited material, we do not guarantee its publication.
Prior to the submission of feature-type reports, it is best to submit a brief outline to the editor. The editor’s approval of an outline does not guarantee acceptance of the completed article. Rates for freelance material are to be discussed and settled prior to publications
The deadline for material is two months prior to publication, unless otherwise arranged. Preferred length of manuscripts is 750-1,500 words, unless otherwise specified by the editor. Manuscripts should be submitted by e-mail in Word or Text format. Please specify in your subject line that the submission is for Horse-Canada.com.
