As we still revel in the Tepin moments at Woodbine last weekend at Woodbine it is time to  gear up for some more great racehorses.

We are spoiled this year to be sure.

SONGBIRD – undefeated American champion could meet her biggest test at Parx (appears as if she will win, however)

Later, the Kentucky Derby winner NYQUIST takes on arch nemesis EXAGGERATOR..this corner says Nyquist and Gun Runner fight it out

Meanwhile, Woodbine Based colt NOHOLDINGBACK BEAR is a serious factor in the Gallant Bob Stakes – Grade 3, worth $300,000.

Owned by Canadian Danny Dion of Bear Stables and trained by Mike DePaulo, this handsome colt has a big chance to get his first graded stakes win in this large field, cutting back from 7 furlongs off a huge run in the Grade 1 at Saratoga last time.

At Woodbine – four stakes this weekend get started in race 3 today – the Grade 3 DURHAM CUP, a tiny filed that looks to be a romp in the park for ARE YOU KIDDING ME, last year’s champion older male. (Another top older horse, Melmich, is to race out of town next week)

The Ontario Colleeen (G3) is a good 1 mile grass race on the other hand. The 8th race features the unbeaten ANCIENT SECRET, in town for the mighty Chad brown stable. She looks like the boss but has ot get past top 3-year-old filly locally, CAREN .
