BY MY STANDARDS was all the rage on Monday when he had an impressive workout at 6 furlongs. Below is the workout by Tacitus on Monday. The grey colt by Tapit figures to be one of the favourites.
The recent races by the Derby probables are incredibly similar. EIGHT won their last start and only TWO are coming off poor outings.
There are 20 on the list as is usually the case and this year there really is not a horse that does not belong in the field, which is different from recent years. Canadian owned ANOTHERTWISTAFATE did not get in on points (to this point|) and he is being pointed to the Preakness Stakes.
Now the handicapping begins and the replays are being studied, workouts examined and stats tossed up in the air to see who is destined to win this year’s Derby.
