happy holidays

Happy holidays from O'Hanlon Eventing!

Another year is over here at O’Hanlon Eventing, with Christmas behind us…just…everything now revolves around the timing of Selena’s trek South as the first training camp with the new trainer, Clayton Fredericks is February first, meaning the horses need to be down there at least a week ahead, weather gods permitting.

With the year ending and a new year already well into the planning stage, it is a great time to thank the amazing companies and individuals that make it possible for Selena and her horses to continue to campaign for Canada.

We are incredibly fortunate in our sponsors, they are an amazing group who support us in so many different ways. In alphabetical order….

Auburn Laboratories – Thank you, thank you for our APF. It completely eliminated Solo’s ever expanding sarcoid on his neck and we have never seen it again.

Bruce Davidson – For your faith in Selena and all the wonderful coaching and especially for your belief in Solo and all your help with bringing him up through the levels. We could not do it without you.

Elaine and Michael Davies, thank you for one last spectacular year with Colombo It will be strange to go to the three stars this Spring without him. He is loving his retirement here at Balsam Hall and is almost a little too fat and cheerful!

Draper Therapies – without your amazing saddle pads we may never have been able to get Colombo’s back strong enough for the dressage. From Spring 2007 he has never been tacked up without his Draper pad next to his skin. Solo continues the tradition.

FITS – the most comfortable and high tech riding clothing available ANYWHERE. FITS breeches are already a legend, wait till you try the new high tech, super thing winter under shirts!

Dougie Hannum – The man with the magic hands. Thank you for being there for all our horses and for your sponsorship of Solo.

Haygain – keeping our horses breathing sound and digesting at thier best. Wonderful steam equipment for hay takes away the worry of spores and dust and improves digestibility.

JoJo Sox – finally socks that not only feel good and look good but they are guaranteed NOT to fall down in your boots.

La Mundial – the best fitting boots Selena has ever ridden in. She bought her first pair of La Mundials many years before she was sponsored by them and has ridden in La Mundials ever since.

Leather Therapy – the best products on the market to keep your leatherwear and leather equipment clean supple and waterproof.

Brian Leith – Thank you Brian for your sponsorship and support of Solo

Omega Alpha – unbeatable supplements for horses. Results speak for themselves, and we have never before seen supplements that deliver results like Omega Alpha. Results that can easily be seen and felt and everything natural and can be used legally during competition.

Purina – all our horses have been on Purina horse feeds since before the 2008 Olympics. Our high performance athletes run on Trimax and the rest of our barn on High fat High fibre and Equiliser. The horses look fantastic, perform with energy and maintain weight no matter the job.

Jean Rablat, this year we have a huge thank you to Jean who donated Bellany Rock for Selena to ride, through Arthur Tatieshi’s amazing organization, Eventing Canada. With ‘Rocky’, Woody and Solo, Selena has three horses at the three star level this Spring, something we thought a complete impossibility just a very few years ago.

Royal Stirrups – lightweight and stay put stirrup irons that don’t mark your saddle.

Schleese Saddlery for the most beautiful bridles and girths you have ever seen. Our horses looked and felt wonderful in their gorgeous soft leather tack.

Zetamin – our longest running sponsor. Thank you Cheryl for your faith in Selena when she was doing her first one star, and ever since.

John and Judy Rumble who own Foxwood High. Thank you John and Judy for allowing O’Hanlon Eventing to look after your beautiful horse ‘Woody’, and giving the ride to Selena. He is a pleasure to have in the barn and we are looking forward to seeing where 2013 takes them.

Mid January the big drive south, first of February Training Camp, mid February the first Horse Trial….

Thank you everyone for a wonderful 2012, all aboard for the exciting ride into 2013, HERE WE GO!
