Zeno is competing at the 1.60m level with numerous clear rounds and top placings. He made his debut in the Grand Prix jumpers in 2014, he was the top Grand Prix horse at the Royal Manitoba winter fair in 2014 that same year he was double clear in the Atco cup on Thursday at Edmonton Northlands and then placed 2nd on Saturday in the Jump Canada hunter derby. After that he made his FEI debut with a top ten finish in the CSI 2* at RMSJ in August and then went indoors competing in 6 FEI Grand Prix’s and never having more than one rail. In 2015 he again was very consistent in the FEI division once again being one of the top horses at the Brandon Fair, again being double clear in the Atco Cup at Edmonton Northlands and winning the Speed derby there as well. He then went out to Thunderbird in August and jumped around the World Cup Qualifier with a game effort and then was 11th of 70 horses in the 1.50m with just one rail. He came back indoors in October and jumped another World Cup Qualifier finishing up 12th. Zeno tries hard every time in the ring and is extremely trainable in his everyday rides, he is always a pleasure to work with.
Zeno’s sire Quattro has produced both Olympic level Show jumpers as well as Dressage horses and is the great grand sire of the phenom Quaterback. Zeno’s dam has produced all upper level horses including three licensed sons, one is a 1.45m jumper, two are 1.60m jumpers, one is doing 1.30m at 8 years old and the other two have been doing the age appropriate young horse classes. With both his sire and dam producing excellent sport horses very consistently it is easy to see why Zeno is producing such consistent offspring.
Zeno, as a sire, combines his wonderful mind with a lot of athletic ability his offspring are excellent movers with a lot of suspension and power in their gaits, he adds the pushing power from behind and a great, balanced canter that is so needed in all disciplines. While improving the movement he also adds to the jump of the mares he is bred to, his offspring show excellent scope and textbook technique and although young show very good trainability. He also adds length of leg and a bit of height.
