For Alberta artist Kim Penner, painting horses has been a lifelong passion. She began riding at aged 10 and never looked back. Her focus is on correct anatomy and also capturing horses in the wild as well as domestic animals.
Ontario-based equine artist Linda Shantz had no formal training; instead she developed her skills through hours of drawing and painting and observing horses in the barn. She admits to having a soft spot for off-the-track thoroughbreds, but does commissions on any type of beloved horse or pet.
