Christine and Dennis Windsor’s Welloiledmachine powered his way to a convincing victory in Wednesday’s $125,400 Halton Stakes, at Woodbine.

Trained by Mike Keogh, the five-year-old son of Mobil took command heading into the turn of the one-mile turf tilt and persevered the length of the expansive E.P.Taylor Turf Course to put away Pender Harbour for a 2 3/4-length win under regular rider Jim McAleney.

Welloiledmachine covered the mile in 1:37.51.

Bred in Ontario by John Kennedy, Welloiledmachine was purchased for $15,751 at the 2009 CTHS Yearling Sale and the $75,000 winner’s share of the Halton purse will boost his career bankroll in excess of $400,000.

McAleney was not surprised that the dark bay gelding found his first victory of the 2013 campaign in a stakes race.

In victory, Welloiledmachine improved his record to 6-2-2 from 21 career starts.

He returned $11.40, $4.10 and $3, pairing with Pender Harbour ($3, $2.30) for a $29.60 (7-8) exactor. A 7-8-10 (Courtville, $3.70 to show) triactor was worth $127.80. Speyside completed a $1 Superfecta (7-8-10-9) worth $978.40.
