A good day for Allison Springer of Upperville, Virginia on the Holsteiner, gelding, Lord Willing (Liam) as they move in to firstplace with a score of 37.80 in the CCI2* at the 2017 PEDIGREE® Bromont CCI3* Three Day Event, The Todd Sandler Challenge. Second place at the end of CCI2* dressage goes to Canada’s Waylon Roberts with a score of 41.10 riding Michelle and John Koppin’s Canadian Sport Horse gelding Lancaster.

On Allison’s ride on Liam she said “he was super settled and I was really please.” When asked about the event and on the question of why she comes with no hesitation Allison said “it’s my favourite event, cause it is awesome here. This track, it feels like you are at a European event.”

In related news, Brodie Springer, Allison’s dog “is loving it here. He is stealing the big PEDIGREE® DentaFlex™ from everyone around the barns” that that riders received in their welcome packages.

The CCI1* dressage which also ran today in ring two was lead by Kelli Temple of Round Hill, Virginia on Metallica with a score of 31.50.

Following competition today there is a talk with Diarm Byrne of EquiRatings sponsored by Equestrian Canada as part of the Eventing Committee’s long term plan for the high performance team.

The evening wraps up with a Red and White Party sponsored by PEDIGREE®. This is always a very much not to be missed annual event at Bromont CCI.

Dressage competition resumes on Friday morning at 10:00am with the CIC2* and the CCI3* in the main rings.

The PEDIGREE® Bromont CCI3* Three Day Event is proud to host The Todd Sandler Challenge in memory of an aspiring young event rider, Todd Sandler, who died tragically in a car accident while returning home from grooming and lending a helping hand to fellow Canadians at the 1999 Rolex Kentucky Three Day Event.
