The annual CTHS Winter Mixed Sale takes place on Saturday, November 26, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at the Woodbine Sales Pavilion in Toronto, Ontario. Consisting of broodmares, stallion seasons and shares, weanlings, yearlings, and horses of racing age, and with a total of 185 catalogued and supplemental entries still coming, this Sale offers something for everyone.

This year’s Sale includes mares in foal to some of Canada’s hottest sires such as Bold Executive, Milwaukee Brew, Mobil, Old Forester, Philanthropist, Sligo Bay (IRE), Wando, and Where’s the Ring. Yearlings and weanlings are also represented by top sires such as Langfuhr, Milwaukee Brew, Old Forester, Peaks and Valleys, Philanthropist, Sligo Bay (IRE), Trajectory, and Where’s the Ring.

Julie Coulter, General Manager of the CTHS, believes that patrons of this Sale will be pleased with the availability of Ontario-Breds with which to take advantage of the province’s Thoroughbred Improvement Program (TIP).

“With the $21 million TIP, sale patrons will have access to one of the most lucrative incentive programs in North America for purses and incentives,” she says. Coulter also notes that weanling and yearling graduates of this Sale are also eligible to take part in the six Sales Stakes offered at Woodbine Racetrack featuring $900,000 in purses.

Horses will be available for inspection on the Sales grounds from Friday, November 25th at 9 a.m. through to Sale time. The Sale will also be available for viewing live on the CTHS website. An added highlight of the Winter Mixed Sale is the Post Sale RNA program, offering buyers to bid on horses that were not sold at sales time.
