The clinics are open, not only to current and aspiring EC officials, but to any and all members of the equestrian community who enjoy continuous learning and personal development.

Among the many benefits of the clinics, they will provide prospective officials with an opportunity to take the first step on the path to becoming an EC official, as clinic participation can be listed as part of a future application. In addition, current EC licensed officials can use the clinics for updating or upgrading purposes, while EC certified instructors can claim professional development points (3 hours per clinic).

Hunter Judge: Philip De Vita
Philip De Vita’s long list of credentials includes United States Equestrian Federation (USEF) ‘R’ Hunter, Hunter Breeding, Equitation, and Jumper Judge, USEF ‘R’ Hunter and Jumper Course Designer, FEI Level 3 Jumper Judge and FEI Level 2 Course Designer. His impressive career highlights span everything from judging and designing courses for the ASPCA Maclay Finals at Madison Square Garden and the Winter Equestrian Festival in Wellington, FL to joining the course designing team for the 2008 Beijing Olympics.

Jumper Judge: Marjorie Dennis
Marjorie Dennis is an exceedingly qualified Canadian judge who has held an EC National Senior Official Judge’s card in Hunter, Hunter Hack, Hunter Equitation and Jumper for 30 years, and an FEI ‘I’ card for Jumper for 15 years. She has officiated at such international events as the Washington International Horse Show and the FEI North American Junior and Young Rider Championships (NAJYRC) and assisted with the management of the 1999 Pan Am Games in Winnipeg, MB.

Steward Clinic: Jan Stephens
An EC Senior Steward, FEI Level 3 Jumping and Eventing Steward, and FEI Level 2 Reining Steward, Jan Stephens has been heavily involved in the education of Canadian Stewards and is a course director for FEI Level 1 and 2 Stewards. Her international experience includes World Equestrian Games, Pan Am Games, and Olympic Games, and she is currently the Canadian Steward General in the disciplines of jumping, eventing, and reining.
