Equestrian Canada (EC) is pleased to announce that Pam Williams of Nanaimo, BC has been chosen as the September 2016 recipient of the Dressage Volunteer of the Month Award.

Williams is an integral part of the dressage community on Vancouver Island, and in particular of the Mid Island CADORA (MICA) group.

Not only does Williams step up as a sponsor for the MICA shows each year, she puts countless hours of her own time into the club. The MICA group credits Williams with doing the hard work that nobody else volunteers to do and states that the club owes its success to Williams for giving her heart and soul to MICA and its members.

In addition to her extensive volunteer activities with MICA, Williams supports the Nanaimo Equestrian Association, a non-profit equestrian group located at Beban Park outside of Nanaimo, BC.

On behalf of the dressage community, EC thanks Williams for her countless hours of volunteer service and many contributions provided to the sport of dressage in Canada.

If you know of a volunteer who deserves recognition, nominations can be made easily through the EC website. Nominations for the award are accepted until the 20th day of each month, making October 20, 2016 the next deadline to submit the name of a volunteer who has made a difference to the sport of dressage. Questions and comments on the Dressage Volunteer of the Month Award can be directed to Christine Peters at cpeters@equestrian.ca.
