Finnish show jumper Nina Fagerström is moving to Canada following the HITS Ocala circuit and Winter Equestrian Festival in Wellington, FL. Fagerström, who worked for many years at Stephex Stables in Belgium and more recently ran a business from Haras de Beufour in Normandy, was named Finland’s Rider of the Year for three consecutive years, from 2009-2011, and competed successfully in numerous grand prix in Europe. She will be competing a string of young horses in Florida, including Delgado van’t Neerhof, previously ridden by Jean-Nicholas Goyette.

In 2012, Fagerström and partner Alexander Rohling, a Canadian who has spent the last six years in Europe, started their own company, Finca-Horses. Following their move to the Ottawa, ON, area after WEF, she plans to show primarily in Canada this summer, including at Spruce Meadows.
