Join us on Thursday, April 21 from 9-10 a.m. to get up to date on all the exciting news about the upcoming 2018 FEI World Equestrian Games™ in Bromont, QC, when Canada will host the world for elite equestrian competition in all eight FEI disciplines!

Equine Canada Year in Review
On Thursday, April 21, from 10:15 a.m. to 12 p.m., head to the Equine Canada Year in Review presentation. Over the past year, EC has truly embarked on a new era as a national federation, from the governance level all the way to the grass roots. Join EC Chief Executive Officer, Eva Havaris, for a Year in Review presentation to celebrate the positive changes implemented in 2015 in partnership with volunteers, members and stakeholders.

Athletes Panel – It Takes a Community to Develop an Athlete – Presented by BMO® Bank of Montreal
Come on a journey with some of Canada’s elite equestrian athletes on Friday, April 22 as they discuss what it takes to make it to the top of equestrian sport. High performance athletes, including Robert Stevenson, Isabelle Lapierre, Billie Derouet and Madison Lawson , will be joined by EC High Performance Analyst, Jessica Dilliott and Dirk Stroda, Mental Performance Coach during this engaging panel discussion. Following the panel, be sure to stick around at 12 p.m. for an interactive luncheon with the athletes.

Hunter Judge, Jumper Judge and Steward Clinics
The 2016 EC Annual Convention will host Hunter Judge, Jumper Judge and Steward clinics throughout the week that provide an engaging curriculum covering expert analysis, best practices, and more. The clinics will be led by the following distinguished clinicians:

• Hunter Judge Clinician Philip De Vita’s long list of credentials include United States Equestrian Federation (USEF) ‘R’ Hunter, Hunter Breeding, Equitation, and Jumper Judge, USEF ‘R’ Hunter and Jumper Course Designer, FEI Level 3 Jumper Judge and FEI Level 2 Course Designer. De Vita’s career highlights include judging and designing courses for the ASPCA Maclay Finals at Madison Square Garden and the Winter Equestrian Festival in Wellington, FL, and joining the course designing team for the 2008 Beijing Olympics.

• The Jumper Judge Clinician will be Marjorie Dennis, an exceedingly qualified Canadian judge who has held an EC National Senior Official Judge’s card in Hunter, Hunter Hack, Hunter Equitation and Jumper for 30 years, and an FEI ‘I’ card for Jumper for 15 years. Dennis has officiated at such international events as the Washington International Horse Show and the FEI North American Junior and Young Rider Championships (NAJYRC) and assisted with the management of the 1999 Pan Am Games in Winnipeg, MB.

• Jan Stephens is the clinician for the Steward Clinic. An EC Senior Steward, FEI Level 3 Jumping and Eventing Steward, and FEI Level 2 Reining Steward, Stephens has been heavily involved in the education of Canadian Stewards and is a course director for FEI Level 1 and 2 Stewards. Her international experience includes World Equestrian Games, Pan Am Games, and Olympic Games, and she is currently the Canadian Steward General in the disciplines of jumping, eventing, and reining.

Equestrian Sport Panel – The Future of Sport
On Friday, April 22, join us from 8:30-10 a.m. for an exclusive opportunity to gain insight from international leaders in equestrian sport, FEI President, Ingmar De Vos, German Equestrian Federation Secretary General, Soenke Lauterbach, USEF President, Chrystine Tauber, and Sport Canada Director General, Martin Boileau.

EC Awards Gala & Grand Unveiling of the New EC Brand
The 2016 EC Awards Gala is a black tie event taking place from 6 p.m. to 12 a.m. on April 22 at Montreal’s iconic Dalhousie Station, home of Cirque Éloize. In addition to the award presentations, Gala attendees will enjoy gourmet appetizers and dinner, unique and exciting entertainment from Cirque Éloize performers, and the grand unveiling of the new EC brand. Please note that this event is only open to those who pre-purchased tickets, and no tickets will be available at the door.

Best Business Practices for the Equestrian Industry

On Saturday, April 23 from 3:15-5 p.m., some of the most successful business minds in the international equestrian community will come together to discuss proven equestrian business practices.
