Equine Canada and the Canadian Equestrian Team extend our heartfelt condolences to Tom and Ellen Dvorak, Augustin and Christine Walch, everyone at Friday Hill Dressage and W. Charlot Farms on the death of their Hanoverian stallion, Viva’s Salieri W.

Tom and Elllen Dvorak took on Viva’s Salieri W as a four-year-old. Under Tom’s expert guidance, Viva’s Salieri W was brought along so skillfully and carefully that the young stallion developed into a Canadian Equestrian Team mount for Tom at the 2011 Pan American Games in Guadalajara, MEX. The pair was part of the silver medal winning team for Canada, and placed fourth individually in the Intermediate I test, the Freestyle and overall, with an average score of 75.190%.

In 2012, the talented Viva’s Salieri W transitioned into a Grand Prix mount for Tom, where, at each competition they entered, they consistently earned top scores. This year Tom and Viva’s Salieri W won the Grand Prix Special at the CDI-W at Palgrave in June and were second in the Grand Prix Special at the CDI3* in Lexington, KY earlier in the spring.

The Dvoraks and the Walchs would like to thank Dr. Alan Manning, Dr. Orlaith Cleary and the team at Milton Equine Hospital and Michele Hampshire at the Horse Limo for their efforts and support.
