Foxwood High, ridden to victory in the 2017 Dutta Corp. Fair Hill International Three-Day Event CCI*** by Selena O’Hanlon in October, has been named USEA Advanced Horse of the Year.

The United States Eventing Association (USEA) announced the news on its Facebook page on November 25th:

“The USEA Leaderboards are up and finalized for the year and sitting at the top of the Advanced Horse leaderboard is John and Judy Rumble’s Foxwood High! Canadian Eventer Selena O’Hanlon’s longtime partner ‘Woody’ will receive the title of 2017 USEA Advanced Horse of the Year!

“Woody wins the title with an impressive 201.00 points accumulated throughout the 2017 season! Woody also finishes in 2nd place on the Overall USEA Horse of the Year leaderboard by only 3.00 points! Huge congrats to Selena, John and Judy Rumble and the entire O’Hanlon Eventing team! What an impressive year these two have had! ???

The 14 year-old Canadian Sport Horse gelding was bred by Epstein Equestrian Inc. The victory at Fair Hill was the first time the pair had scored below 40 in dressage (39.4) and capped off a season that included leading the Canadian team to a second place finish at The Plains CICO3* FEI Nations’ Cup.
