The Equine Canada Board of Directors consists of three Director-at-Large positions, which are elected by the membership. One Director-at-Large position is elected each year and serves a three-year term.

Nominations have now closed for candidates seeking the vacant Director-at-Large seat for 2014. Voting runs from December 13, 2013 until January 16, 2014, 11:59 pm Eastern Standard Time.

Each year the Equine Canada Nominations Committee has the responsibility of presenting a slate of candidates to the membership for the election of a Director-at-Large

Am I eligible to vote?

In order to vote you must be 18 years of age or over in the year of election and be an Individual Member in good standing as per Equine Canada Bylaws on or before October 30, 2013. Each individual can cast one vote for the Director-at-Large.

How do I vote?

ON-LINE: Go to https://licence.equinecanada.ca/dal_vote/ and login using your personal Equine Canada username and password to register to vote. You can immediately complete the voting process after your successful registration.

If, as a member, you do not have your Equine Canada username and password to login, please complete the online self-registration form and login information will be provided.

Deadline: Online self-registration and email registration ends January 14, 2014.

BY EMAIL and Mail-In: Members can vote by mail if they prefer by contacting the Equine Canada voting services at nominations@equinecanada.ca to request a Register to Vote Form. Once you are registered, you’ll receive an election package and ballot either by mail, fax or e-mail as per your request.

Deadline for Email and Mail-in Vote Form: Your vote must be received at our offices no later than 4 pm, Eastern Standard Time, January 16, 2014. The successful candidate will be introduced at the Equine Canada Annual General Meeting, February 7, 2014, as part of the Equine Canada Annual Convention to be held at the Radisson Winnipeg from February 5 – 9, 2014.
