The final countdown to Toronto 2015 begins with CIBC Pan Am Day on Saturday, June 13th, when the Canadian Olympic Committee (COC) will announce the Canadian athletes on the Pan American Games teams for all sports. Equine Canada will release an official statement announcing the dressage, eventing and show jumping teams soon after.
Television station CBC has an afternoon of special Pan Am Day features lined up in conjunction with the announcements. Scott Russell will host the show from a Pan Am Games test event at the Centennial Park BMX Centre in Etobicoke, ON. The segments will also take a look at Cirque du Soleil’s preparations for the opening ceremony, go behind the scenes of the making of Serena Ryder’s Pan Am song, and visit all of the competition venues.
