San Patrignano’s “5-star” horse show has been voted “Best Event 2012” by the International Jumping Riders Club and the readers of Horse International. This recognition rewards the event’s “excellent organisation and atmosphere”.

Voted the best horse show in the world for the third time. After 2006 and 2010, the “Vincenzo Muccioli Challenge” has once again won the award for best international horse jumping event. This award, won by the event dedicated to the founder of San Patrignano, was decided by the riders of the International Jumping Riders Club and the readers of Horse International, the Dutch magazine published by BCM considered to be the most influential in the equestrian sector on a global level.

The presentation ceremony, which will be held in London on December 21st, becomes even more prestigious in light of how the award itself is decided. In fact, it is the international riders and the readers of the equestrian “Bible” who assess all horse shows in the various Olympic equestrian disciplines – in other words, show jumping, 3-day eventing and dressage. This means it is the leading figures of the equestrian world themselves who give their opinions on the organisation of the individual events and the atmosphere the riders and general public experience during them.

At the last edition of the San Patrignano horse show, Sidney Jeroen Dubbeldam, winner of the Rolex Grand Prix “Vincenzo Muccioli Challenge” and Olympic rider, thanked everyone “for once again having organised a fantastic event”, whilst second-placed rider, the Swiss champion Christina Liebherr, spoke about “a great family and the wonderful welcome received”.

News of the “Best Event of the Year Award 2012” was greeted with particular excitement by Alessandro Rodino Dal Pozzo, chairman of the organising committee of the San Patrignano show, who went on to say, “this award is for all the guys at San Patrignano and is confirmation that believing in what you do and working together with commitment and passion helps you achieve the best results”.

The same opinion is expressed by Eleonora Moroni Ottaviani, show director of the Vincenzo Muccioli Challenge: «I’m happy for the young guys of the community. This is the proof that working with heart and passion leads to very good results».

In fact, this is further recognition for San Patrignano after the award presented by the International Federation for Equestrian Sports (FEI) for the results achieved in helping people recover from drug addiction by promoting the relationship between man and horse.
