Angelstone’s inaugural Great Pony Challenge concluded on Sunday afternoon, with team ‘Rock’em Sock’em’ earning the coveted Championship in the $7,500 class, presented by equestrian accessories company ‘My Barn Child.’

Eleven teams competed all afternoon for one of the most highly valued pony championships ever presented. Teams of three were formed with each team’s two top scores contributing to the team score. ‘Rock’em Sock’em’s team of Lauren McMillan riding Royal Dublin, Allison MacDonald aboard Nantucket, and Zoe Siple riding Killer Cupcake put together a trio of rounds that were hard to beat!

The ponies took to the course in a one round format where they received classic scores that counted both for individual and team ribbons.

Team ‘Triple Threat’ just missed out on first place, and were only a quarter point behind the winning team score of 149.25. Team ‘Triple Threat’ consisted of Shae Lynn Kitching aboard ‘Rafiki’, Emily Burton riding ‘Little Dickens’, and Anna Ayers aboard ‘Peace Keeper.’

Rounding out the team competition was ‘Pink Power Jr.’, coming in third for the team portion of the competition. Team anchor Leanna Lazzari had an amazing performance in the medium pony division winning all four classes over the weekend, but her team just missed the mark in the classic competition. Leanna rode ‘Cherrybrooke Just Blue In’, Emma Hennessey piloted ‘Cedar Spring Pen Pal’ and Rachel Kup had a lovely round on ‘Unforgettable.’

Individually, Angelstone’s GPC Classic winner was Lauren Mcmillan aboard ‘Little Dickens’ who stole the show with a phenomenal ride and a score of 83 points. Second place went to Emily Burton aboard ‘Royal Dublin’ and third went to ‘Goldhills Arresting Charm’ and Savannah Singh.

‘My Barn Child’ presented each Division and Classic Championship throughout the weekend with MBC gift bags stuffed with lots of beautiful charms and accessories. ‘My Barn Child’ also generously donated a charm and a tiffany blue box of mints to every exhibitor as a thank you for attending Angelstone’s first annual GPC weekend.
