This evening I asked Ron if he was able to stand on Pax’s back. He quickly asked, “While moving?”

I laughed and said, “Guess that answers my question!”

I was thinking that standing on a horse walking would be a very interesting experience which I just MIGHT attempt if someone could guarantee that I’d be totally fine after I exited the horse. Then I realized that we teach the horses things one small step at a time and perhaps we should approach vaulting the same way. This led to me wondering if the vaulter might get his/her sea legs by standing up in a wheelbarrow (or some such “vehicle”) while it is being pushed. This might help with adjusting to being a bit higher off the ground and moving at a somewhat unpredictable rate. Hmmm…
